“The Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Applied Arts is committed to delivering distinguished services in the field of digital transformation and supporting the educational, research, and administrative processes through the development of technological infrastructure, efficient management of electronic systems, and enhancement of communication among faculty and university members, thereby contributing to institutional excellence and improving the quality of academic and administrative performance.”
Objectives of the Information Technology Unit

Enhancing the efficiency and performance of the faculty’s internal network.

Conducting regular maintenance of the internal network and providing technical support for the network and all users.

Developing the educational process by strengthening interaction between students and faculty members.

Promoting the use of official university email in all administrative transactions.

Utilizing the official faculty website as a primary communication channel with all stakeholders.

Improving the effective use of the digital library and maximizing its services for researchers and students.

Providing IT consultations and training programs for students, administrative staff, and faculty members.

Updating faculty members’ activities and profiles through uploading their CVs to the faculty website.

Collecting and publishing faculty news and continuously updating faculty data on the official portal.

Contributing to the transformation of academic courses into e-learning formats through e-learning initiatives.

Providing technical support for various software used in the educational process.

Enhancing the effective use of information technology in education, learning, and administrative processes.

Contributing to enhancing the efficiency of the faculty’s network by monitoring network issues and ensuring their prompt resolution.

Publishing news in both Arabic and English.

Uploading model answers for academic courses.

Providing and uploading academic bylaws for the scientific departments.

Disseminating news عبر social media platforms to increase backlinks to the university domain, thereby contributing to improving the university’s global ranking indicators.

Supporting the e-learning project through activating electronic courses and organizing workshops on e-learning.

Contributing to the Digital Library Project by creating Egyptian Knowledge Bank accounts for faculty members and students, and organizing related workshops.

Implementing a comprehensive training plan aimed at achieving 100% training coverage of administrative staff, in accordance with their job roles and training needs.
