Under the Auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President and Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs; Benha University has organized the 1st Scientific Conference about “Challenges of the University Libraries in the Third Millennium” in the presence of Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Sharif Shahien, the President of the General Authority for Books and National Archives; and Dr. Shaba’n Khalifa, the Professor of Libraries at Cairo University

Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development has inspected the exams committees at the Faculty of Computers and Information with Prof. Dr. Tarek El Sheshtawy, the Faculty Vice-dean for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs on Thursday, 28/05/2015. His Excellency has visited also the Faculties of Applied Arts and Engineering in Shubra.

Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University said that 35 research groups have been formed to build the abilities in fields and projects that serve the country development issues. He also referred that the new research projects include increasing the development of food production and safety, renewable energy, information technology, nanotechnology, agricultural sciences, and natural resources.
