Qualifying Certificates and Enrollment Rules
Article (17): Qualifying Certificates:
The Faculty accepts students who have the following certificates:
a) General secondary (science – math)
b) Technical diplomas
c) Technical secondary (5 years)
d) Supplementary technical secondary
Article (18): Admission Exams:
Students must pass admission exams of the Faculty. Admission exams include tests of technical and innovative abilities.
Article (19): Equation Exams:
Students who have certificates of technical secondary and the supplementary technical secondary must pass the equation exams in English, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
Article (20): Equation Exams
Students who have (technical diploma - technical secondary diploma - supplementary technical secondary diploma) are accepted upon the total of theoretical and practical subjects of diploma by rate not exceed 10% of accepted students who have secondary certificate.
The Faculty accepts students of diploma according to the following rates of each discipline:
- 2% Textile Diploma.
- 2% Furniture and Carpentry Diploma.
- 1% Restoration - Architecture Diploma.
- 1% Mechanic Copy and Printing Diploma.
- 1% Textiles Printing and Garments Diploma.
- 1% Decoration and Advertising Diploma.
- 1% Electronics and Communications Diploma.
- 1% Decorative Iron and Metals Diploma.
The University Council may change such rates after the approval of the Faculty Council.
Enrollment Rules for Graduates from other Faculties
Article (21):
1- University degrees from other faculties:
The Faculty accepts graduates who have university degrees or the equivalent according to the following conditions:
a) The same conditions qualifying for admission to the Faculty including tests of technical and innovative abilities.
b) Registration as regular student from the preparatory year.
c) Doing scientific clearing to determine subjects that must be studied to get the bachelor of applied arts.
2- Bachelor in Applied Arts
The Faculty accepts graduates who have bachelor in applied arts but they want to get bachelor in other discipline according to the following conditions:
a) Registration as regular student from the first year.
b) Doing scientific clearing to determine subjects that must be studied.
Article (21):
The Faculty accepts graduates by rate not exceed 5% of accepted students who have secondary certificate.
