Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students ' Affairs said that the University has completed all the preparations necessary for conducting the aptitude tests for its faculties 2022/2023 and for students holding secondary school certificate, its equivalent (Arab and foreign), and the technical certificates.
He also inspected aptitude tests at of Physical Education, Specific Education (art and music education departments), Applied Arts and Nursing to follow up the preventive and precautionary measures that have been taken to ensure the safety of the students and staff. It is worth mentioning that the aptitude tests will start in 6-8-2022 according to the time plan of the Supreme Council of Universities. For his part, Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President stressed on taking all measures that will ensure regularity of exams process. He also praised Faculties management for their readiness for aptitude tests to ensure the comfort of students to perform their exams. He also confirmed on applying all precautionary measures, in order to ensure the safety of students and participants at aptitude tests.

An orientation session about Fulbright scholarships to the faculties' member and the students in Benha University
Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, the president of Benha University hosts Fulbright/ Egypt delegation under the presidency of prof.Dr. Magy Nasif, the executive manager for the authority. This event comes in accordance with the international relations office's organization of this orientation session to get the faculties' members and the students to know more about the scholarships. Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has inspected the University hostel at Shoubra to check the provided service for students and he was accompanied by Dr. Sayed Abd El Wanis, the general Supervisor of University hostels at Benha University and Dr. Awad Allah Soliman, the general manager of University Hostels at Benha University. During his tour, Benha University President has checked the level of services provided to students, as well as inspecting kitchens, restaurants, food stores, following up on the internet service and the extent of students' satisfaction with these services. On the other hand, Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa met during his tour with a number of male and female students inside the hostel and listened to their demands and asked them about their satisfaction of provided services by the University hostels. Cooperation Protocol between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Benha University
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and Ambassador Alaa Hegazy, the Assistant of Foreign Affairs Minister for the Diplomatic, Consular and Inspection Corps have signed a cooperation protocol between Benha University and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in presence of the Ambassador Sameh Shoukry , Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is worth mentioning that the protocol aims to strengthen bonds of cooperation between Benha University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the fields of information technology and digital transformation. Prof. Dr.Gamal Sosa expressed his happiness after signing this protocol, which was initiated by Benha University, as an affirmation of its keenness to achieve the objectives of Egypt's Vision 2030 to have an economy based on innovation and knowledge. He also added that this initiative reflects the full understanding and awareness of both institutions about importance of the latest developments of information technology and their ability to use them optimally to meet their needs. Ministerial Decisions for Appointing New Directors General at Benha University
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued ministerial decisions for appointing general directors at Benha University.
Dr.Gamal Sosa mentioned that the ministerial decisions included appointing Mrs. Rania Moataz Essa as Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs and Mohamed Mahmoud Fahmy has been appointed as Director General of Libraries at Benha University.

Student Teams from 25 Universities compete to win the Smart Cities Hackathon at Benha University
The 40 student teams which represent 25 public and private universities continue their participation in activities of the "Smart Cities Hackathon", which is held at Benha University.
Students are working on implementing prototypes of their innovative solutions for the ten tracks identified within the Hackathon events which includes; Smart buildings, smart facilities, smart parks, smart transportation-traffics, smart hospitals, smart recycling, smart monitoring, smart energy, smart management, smart schools and universities. It is noteworthy that the Hackathon activities are going to be held in cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Amazon Web Services and under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the period from 2432022 to 2632022. It is worth mentioning that the winning teams in the Hackathon are going to receive financial prizes totaling 100,000 Egyptian pounds that provided by Benha University. In addition to getting valuable prizes provided by Amazon Web Services, the winners will also have a great opportunity to market their innovations to the new Egyptian private universities.
Benha University President attends the Graduation Ceremony for Faculty of Medicine Students' Batch 34
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President witnessed the Graduation Ceremony for Faculty of Medicine Students' Batch 34.
The Graduation Ceremony was held in presence of Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-President for Education and Students ' Affairs, Dr.Mohamed El Ashhab, Faculty of Medicine dean, Faculty of Medicine deputies ', the former deans, the head of Physicians at Physician Syndicate, Faculty Members' staff and students .During the ceremony, Dr. Gamal Sosa stressed that the political leadership pays great importance to the medical staff and the effort they have made during Corona virus pandemic, which gives a wonderful example of sacrifice and redemption of Egypt's white army of Physicians and nurses. For his part, Dr.Gamal Sosa thanked all the graduated students for their great efforts and excellence that they were able to achieve during years of study. On the other hand, Dr.Mohamed Gamal El Ashhab, the Faculty of Medicine dean confirmed on developing the concept of the University's role in community service by graduating qualified doctors to compete in the labor market, as well as developing the medical service provided to patients at the University Hospitals.
Benha University organizes the First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science
The Board of Directors of Benha Journal of Applied Sciences announced that the First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science is going to be held in the period from 7-8 of May, 2022.
The conference is going to be held under auspices of Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. For his part, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy mentioned that the Conference is going to discuss four axes: Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Engineering and Technology Sciences, Clinical and Health Medical Sciences and Basic Sciences. He also added that El-Gizawy pointed out that the Conference aims to build the capacities of young researchers and graduate students in order to achieve the University's vision, mission, strategic objectives and Egypt's Vision 2030.
