Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts – Benha University, and Prof. Dr. Mona Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty organized a religious seminar titled The Trustworthiness of the Word.” This seminar was held as part of the Faculty’s commitment to promoting religious awareness and reinforcing ethical values among students.

The seminar featured the participation of:
? Dr. Sherif Abu HatabDirector General of the Qalyubia Preaching Region and Head of the Fatwa, Reconciliation, and Family Reunification Committee.
? Dr. Abdullah Al-HusseiniMedia Coordinator and Preacher at the Qalyubia Preaching Region.
? Sheikh Mohamed Abdel Wahab MousaPreacher at the Qalyubia Preaching Region.

? The seminar addressed the importance of the trustworthiness of speech and the role of words in shaping awareness within society. It also emphasized the necessity of honesty and responsibility in conveying information, and highlighted the impact of kind and responsible speech in strengthening values of compassion and social cohesion.

The seminar witnessed active engagement from students, as the floor was opened for discussion and for answering their questions, contributing to the reinforcement of positive values among them.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts – Benha University, and Prof. Dr. Mona Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Youth Welfare Administration at the faculty organized the Holy Qur’an Competition for students in memorization and Tajweed, as part of the faculty’s commitment to supporting student activities and encouraging students to memorize the Holy Qur’an.

The competition was evaluated by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Husseini from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

The results of the competition were as follows:

First: Level One (Full Holy Qur’an)

  • First Place: Student Iman Abdel-Ghani El-Sayed – Preparatory Year

  • Second Place: Student Mariam Mohamed Ibrahim Hussein – Preparatory Year

Second: Level Two (Half of the Holy Qur’an)

  • First Place: Researcher Yasmin Magdy Attia Mostafa – PhD Researcher

  • Second Place: Student Habiba Ehab Mostafa El-Malaky – Preparatory Year

Third: Level Three (Five Parts)

  • First Place: Student Mennat Allah Maher Kamal Yassin – Third Year (Metal Products and Jewelry Department)

  • Second Place: Student Basma Ahmed Gaber – Third Year (Interior Design and Furniture Department)

Hadith Competition (Al-Arbaeen Al-Nawawiya)

  • First Place: Student Kawthar Ahmed Fathy El-Hefnawy – Third Year (Industrial Design Department)

  • Second Place: Student Rahma Ahmed Fathy El-Hefnawy – First Year (Textile Department)

Condolences

Prof. Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty, along with the Vice Deans, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrators, and staff of the Faculty of Applied Arts, extend their deepest condolences on the passing of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Applied Arts.

May Allah have mercy on the deceased, grant him His vast mercy, and admit him into His spacious Paradise. We pray that Allah grants his honorable family patience and solace. Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

Announcement of Academic Registration – Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University

The Faculty of Applied Arts – Benha University announces that academic registration will be open for Preparatory, First-Year, and Second-Year students through the Ibn Al-Haytham System.

Registration will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 12–13, 2026. All students are required to log in to the system and complete their academic registration procedures within the specified period.

In case of any inquiries or issues, students are kindly requested to contact only the academic advisor in their respective academic department.

Students are also informed that a penalty fee for failure to register courses has been applied to those who did not complete registration during the previous period without a valid excuse for the delay. Therefore, students are advised to review their financial statement through the Fees icon on the Ibn Al-Haytham System.

Activities of Evaluating the Holy Qur’an Competition

The Youth Welfare Administration of the Education and Student Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Applied Arts – Benha University organized a Holy Qur’an memorization and Tajweed competition for the faculty’s students. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mona Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

This competition comes as part of the faculty’s commitment to supporting student activities and promoting religious and cultural values among students.

The competition was evaluated by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Husseini from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the evaluation activities were conducted with distinguished participation from the faculty’s students.

Benha University Launches “Young Entrepreneur Initiative” at Tanta Al-Gezira Preparatory School in Toukh

Benha University’s Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development has launched the activities of the Young Entrepreneur Initiative” at Tanta Al-Gezira Preparatory School in Toukh, as part of its efforts to train and develop school students’ skills in the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The initiative is held under the patronage of Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts.

Dr. Nevin Farouk, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the launch of the initiative was organized in coordination with Dr. Yasser Mahmoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Qalyubia, and Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

Dr. Nevin Farouk added that the Young Entrepreneur Initiative aims to train and develop school children’s skills in the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation, encourage creative thinking, and help them transform simple ideas into small projects, thereby contributing to building a generation capable of initiative and self-reliance.
