The Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University continues its scientific excellence, as its students achieved distinguished results by securing three advanced positions during the activities of the 5th Student Conference of Applied Sciences for the academic year 2025/2026. This clearly reflects the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and innovation.

Prof. Dr. Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mona Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, extended their sincere congratulations to the participating students, praising their outstanding academic performance, which presented an honorable image of the Faculty.

Student Results:

  • Student: Basmala Mansour Mohamed El-Sayed
    Achieved First Place in the “Success Story” category at the 5th Student Conference of Applied Sciences.
  • Students: Basma Ashraf Abdel Latif Salem & Tabarak Abdel Razek
    Achieved First Place in Research Publication for their paper titled:
    “Designing a Sustainable Bus Station in the Pyramids Area Using Solar Energy and Smart Materials”
    Supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amina Magdy.
  • Students: Mirna Amr El-Sayed Ismail & Maryam Mohamed Abdel Khaleq
    Achieved Second Place in Research Publication for their outstanding participation with a paper titled:
    “Smart Modular Apron”
    Supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shereen Salah.

This achievement highlights the Faculty’s commitment to supporting scientific research and encouraging students toward innovation, contributing to preparing graduates capable of competition and leadership in various applied fields.

Under the patronage of Nasser El Gizawy, President of the University; Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Osama Nada, Dean of the Faculty,

and under the supervision of Nevin Farouk, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,

and in coordination with the University’s Crisis and Disaster Management Unit led by Ibrahim Rageh and Rania Moataz,

a virtual evacuation drill was conducted at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University with the aim of training students, faculty members, and staff on rapid response procedures during emergency situations.

The drill aimed to:

  • Enhance the efficiency of rapid emergency response
  • Ensure the readiness of emergency teams and evacuation routes within buildings, laboratories, and workshops
  • Promote awareness of occupational safety procedures

Prior to the drill, an awareness workshop was conducted covering:

  • Principles of occupational safety and health
  • Safe evacuation procedures
  • Fire prevention methods

This initiative comes within the framework of the Faculty’s plan to promote a culture of safety and security and to strengthen preparedness for crises and disasters within the university campus.

The drill contributed significantly to raising awareness and enhancing crisis management capabilities efficiently, and witnessed remarkable cooperation and commitment from all participants.

The Faculty extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to all staff members of the University and Faculty Crisis and Disaster Management Units, administrative security personnel, students, and all participating teams for their valuable cooperation, which contributed to the successful and well-organized execution of the drill.

Under the supervision of
Mona Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Supervisor of Graduation Projects in the Department of Garment Technology and Fashion,

the Department of Garment Technology and Fashion organized a seminar entitled:

“Sponsored Advertising Strategies for Social Media Platforms”

The seminar was delivered by
Abdullah El Batta, a graduate of the Department of Garment Technology and Fashion and Marketing Manager at Steps Agency,

on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The seminar addressed the importance of utilizing sponsored advertising strategies across social media platforms to support startups, particularly in the fashion and garment industry, contributing to broader outreach and more effective engagement with target audiences.

It also highlighted the mechanisms of building a strong digital identity for brands and managing advertising campaigns professionally, in addition to presenting successful models for transforming graduation project ideas into entrepreneurial ventures capable of competing in the labor market.

Furthermore, the seminar emphasized the importance of integrating academic knowledge with practical application and encouraging students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, thereby preparing qualified cadres capable of innovation and creating added value within the creative industries.
